The One Green Street Story
One Green Street is an Organic Lifestyle Destination. A place where you can find anything from make-up to mattresses, all good for you and good for the planet. Our store is Eco-Friendly and presented in four separate quadrants. The Whole Body section features everything Organic and Natural for your body, including but not limited to make- up, skincare, hair care, Men’s care and pet care. Our Full Circle Fashion section is a fusion of Organic, Recycled, Up cycled, Handmade and Natural clothing, jewelry and accessories for both Men and Women. The Healthy Home section features a mini Green & Mixed Green Mattress gallery with a focus on bedding, pillows and getting a healthy night’s sleep. The Gathering Place is where education meets action and where you can sit by an Eco-Smart fireplace and enjoy a portable, clean, healthy fire while sipping on Organic, Fair-trade coffee and mingle with other eco-conscious customers and friends. Our customers breathe better and feel better in our store due to our Silver LEED certification, which is the gold standard in Green building. Sherry Eichberger, founder of One Green Street, has a vision: “I long for a day,” she says, “where we all live on the same street, the Green Street. People who live on that street are healthier and happier.”Sherry founded One Green Street after an epiphany that followed a crisis. “Two otherwise healthy men in my neighborhood died of cancer,” she says, with some sadness. “In my heart I felt like those deaths could have been avoided.”
So, she began a years-long study and personal journey that both educated her and stunned her. She found that there are healthy alternatives but oftentimes the buying public either doesn’t know about those alternatives or is never offered them in the first place.
One Green Street is her answer, and it has become her mission. The amazing store and website will offer healthy alternatives in a widely varied roster of products-everything from bedding to cosmetics. It promises to make the decision to buy and use healthy products a cool and hip one.
And, a visitor will always feel special. “I want people to feel welcome in our store…welcome to visit, to ask questions, to learn with us as we discover more about what is best for us, she says. And I hope that they’ll find that what is good for them is also fun.”
David is the other half to founder, Sherry Eichberger. David can be seen working with Sherry on the weekends. A Mechanical Engineer by trade, David works full time for a Houston firm but his never ending support of One Green Street and wife Sherry is a true asset to their business.
Yuliana is an important piece of the One Green Street puzzle. Her warm, inviting style keeps customers coming back to shop over and over. Yuliana not only runs the store when Sherry is not there but she is also a lisenced Manicurist and performs eco-friendly Mani’s and Pedi’s by appointment.
